ERP-JOBS Earns BBBOnLine Privacy Seal  

Aurora, Ontario, 20 October, 2000  www.erp-jobs.com LLC today announced that it has reached a milestone in its commitment to protect customer privacy online.  After a rigorous review of ERP-JOBS’s online privacy policy and practices, BBBOnLine has granted ERP-JOBS the BBBOnLine Privacy Seal.

“Businesses that qualify for the BBBOnLine Privacy Seal are demonstrating to their customers care and respect for the treatment of personal data,” said Ken Hunter, president and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus.  “The BBBOnLine Privacy Program builds on eight decades of Better Business Bureau experience in fostering ethical business practices through voluntary self-regulation programs.”  The Council is the umbrella organization for the 132 BBBs in the United States and Puerto Rico, and the parent organization of BBBOnLine.  

Companies applying for the BBBOnLine Privacy Seal undergo an extensive review to verify that they handle their online customers’ personal data according to the stringent requirements set by the program.  Websites qualifying for the seal must post a privacy policy that is easy to find, easy-to-read and easy to understand.   The posted policy must include information on choice, access to data, transfer of information to third parties, data integrity, and security. BBBOnLine Privacy Seal holders agree to be randomly monitored to help ensure compliance with posted policies.  Close to 700 websites have been awarded the seal and several hundred companies are in the process. The program has received very favorable international recognition and has received applications from over 20 countries worldwide.

In addition, seal holders agree to participate in the programs dispute resolution system that provides a consumer-friendly dispute settlement process and offers specific consequences for non-compliance, such as seal withdrawal, publicity and referral to government enforcement agencies.

This page was designed in February of 1998, by as former Director of ERP Implementation Services (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, JDEdwards, Invensys/Baan), and former Alliance Manager for SAP Ag. There is no cost to view these RFP/I's, or the respective bids, or queries/answers. When you log in and create your profile, you may set up your mail settings to receive notifications when RFP/I's are submitted, as well as queries/answers.

ERP-JOBS is a user-friendly page. The input required to submit a profile is minimal. Using a point and click electronic forms document, the time required to submit your profile is fast. There is also an area to submit your resume's url , or cut and paste a resume. At no time is your name revealed to other ERP-JOBS subscribers, only your areas of specialization and years of experience. You are assigned a user number, and other purchasers of this service may browse your experience and e-mail you via this number. All e-mail addresses except for those who wish to go public remain concealed. As a job-contract seeker, there is no charge for this service. This is designed to give you more opportunity and flexibility in choosing your next assignment, in addition to providing you with a greater horizon to enhance your career.

The "System Matching Agent" - For Recruiters & Candidates

In addition, you may use the "System Matching Agent" which enables searchers to match their requirements to your skill sets. This matches the skills you have selected in your profile posting against over 8100 skill sets used by the recruiters. The same methodology is used by recruiting professionals  when seeking individuals with these/your specific skill sets. This is done at the query area and at the job posting area where immediate skill set matching can be done; thereby minimizing the recruiting lead times, and improving mean time to benefit for the client, and allowing the E-business professional to make his career/contract moves quickly.

How and Why

Qualified professionals indicate their status and relevant E-business  experience through a secure numbered profiling scheme to announce their availability. Caveat: any one with less than 6 months experience is displayed as having no years of experience, and is subsequently deleted from the system. ERP-JOBS subscribers enter their job opportunities into the ERP-JOBS system enabling ERP Professionals to search for new assignments and allow subscribers the ability to match these assignments using the "System Matching Agent" to those professionals listed on the site for meaningful engagements that enhance their careers and experience.
