PeopleSoft DBA Job Description

• Knowledge in Oracle database administration. This should include a thorough understanding of Oracle internal structures, tuning, backups, etc. ... 
• Knowledge of Peoplesoft data structures. This should include an understanding of items such as PSOPRDEFN, PS_SQLSTMT_TBL, PSDBOWNER, indexing strategies, etc.
• Knowledge of SQR. 
• Knowledge of Peoplesoft process scheduler and application server. This includes setup and maintenance of 3 tier and 2 tier elements. 
• General understanding of business requirements such as general ledger terminology and functions, etc.. 
• Must be strong at working with non-technical people. The position requires a great deal of interaction with customer service reps and other non technical staff.
